Description
We are seeking a Special Needs Teacher with a specialization in language, writing, and reading development for Lundby School.
Welcome to Lundby School, a place for community, learning, and personal development! We would be delighted if you want to become part of a young organization planning for its third academic year. The school is centrally located on Hisingen and currently has space for a total of 500 students in compulsory school grades 7–9 and 30 students in the adapted compulsory school grades 7–9.
Responsibilities
In the role of Special Needs Teacher, you will lead instruction and work directly or indirectly with students in teaching situations. You will conduct pedagogical assessments and analyze the results to plan and develop teaching. Here, you will become an important part of our systematic quality work regarding student follow-up. The Student Health Team will be your work unit, where collegial support and collaboration are valued to achieve our goals together. We use the journal system PMO. You are expected to document student matters at both group and individual levels in PMO and other digital tools/platforms.
All staff at the school actively work to strengthen students' belief in the future and promote good mental health. We strive to give students the insight that they themselves have the power to influence and change, so that they are given the opportunity to lead a healthy and meaningful life. Our development is driven by curiosity. We challenge each other and dare to try new ways to develop and improve operations. Together, we establish, follow up, and revise our plans, viewing it as a shared responsibility to drive school development and Lundby School forward. Courage, perseverance, and innovative thinking characterize our approach.

You have a positive and solution-focused approach and need to be familiar with a language-developing working method. Together, we aim to capture and stimulate students' interest and curiosity so that learning becomes enjoyable. You are well acquainted with the curriculum documents and formulate long-term strategies for children's learning, viewing goals and assessment as tools for operations. By listening and communicating, you see patterns and try to find sustainable solutions.
